Nestled between the Black and Caspian Seas, the Republic of Georgia is a gorgeous ancient kingdom and one of the earliest known centers of wine (and cheese!)production. Winemakers today are spearheading a thrilling renaissance in natural winemaking and they are drawing upon the unique experience that comes with nearly 8,000 vintages and counting.
In this tasting and presentation, Sommelier Timothy Campbell will guide you through a tour of delicious organic wines from some of Georgia’s top producers and share information about an exciting upcoming trip to the birthplace of wine.
Campbell will be hosting a comprehensive food and wine tour to Georgia through Global Gourmands in September that will include winery visits, hands-on cooking classes, live polyphonic singing, and historic sights and churches.
Drop by to taste these amazing wines, as well as authentic Georgian cuisine. Visit http://globalgourmands.com/tours/georgia/ to learn more about the upcoming food and wine tour.
